On the second floor of the the library is the Heritage Room", staffed by theVenango County Genealogical Club. The hours are Tuesday and Saturdays from 1pm to5pm, other times by appointment. It houses a huge collection of materialconsisting of county histories for all of PA, census records 1790-1920 for most of thenorthwestern PA counties, all local interest books and genealogies, church records,card index of all Venango County cemeteries, a complete obituary file from 1985 to present(older ones are mixed in), miscellaneous card files, family files, and a large collectionof photos from the Oil City area.
