Note: William F. Heathcote married Josephine Sibley, the daughter of Senator Joseph C. Sibley.

Franklin Cemetery records indicate that this is the gravesite of Bettie Hardcastle,
1 year and 11 months old who died Sept. 9, 1886.

Nearby in an unmarked grave is that of Mrs. John Hardcastle who died May 4, 1898.
The Franklin News – Herald on Jan. 29, 1931, carried an article which mentioned the remembrances of John Hardcastle. Mr. Hardcastle had lived in the Franklin area for many years and relocated in Los Angeles about 1910. John Hardcastle remembered that when just a 15 year old newsboy in Washington, D.C., he was present at the Ford Theatre the night that President Lincoln was assassinated.

Carl B. Crawford died in Franklin, Pa., on Thursday, November 26, 1874,
son of E.G. and Maria Crawford. Aged 8 months and 18 days.

Note: Maria (Baum) Crawford died September 9, 1876, aged 27 years and Eben G. Crawford, son of Robert J. & Margaret Crawford, died in June of 1897. E.G. Crawford married Julia McLaughlin in 1882 and they had 3 sons: Eben G., Lloyd and Clan. Julia Crawford died December 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio.
